Leaving no stone unturned, embattled Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf moved an application in Islamabad High Court pertaining to imposition of Section 144 and blockade of Imran Khan’s residence in Bani Gala on Monday afternoon. The application was moved by PTI MNA from Islamabad Asad Umer through his counsel.

Asad Umer, in his application, said that government has put Imran Khan’s residence under siege for past many days and he has been put under illegal house arrest. The application also questioned the legality of imposition of Section 144 on October 27 by the Islamabad DC.

The applicant prayed for the removal of police and Frontier Constabulary personnel from Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf’s chairman’s residence in Bani Gala and an end to the illegal house arrest of Imran Khan.

Ministry of Interior, Islamabad IG, Islamabad chief commissioner, and deputy commissioner were made parties in the application.

However, Islamabad High Court Registrar Raja Jawad Abbas Awan returned the application with some objections. He pointed out absence of necessary documents to the application and advised the applicant to attach them and file again.
