Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Monday permitted Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) to hold the protest on November 2.

IHC also stated that a sit-in will take palce at a designated place and restrained PTI from locking down the city.

Islamabad police has directed the security personnel to secure the ‘designated area’ where the protest will be held.

The administration has specified a place namely ‘Democracy Park & Speech Corner’ for protests in Islamabad.

The PTI said it would challenge the court’s order in the apex court.

PTI’s Shah Mahmood Qureshi claimed, “As Justice Siddiqui is related to Irfan Siddiqui, the prime minister’s adviser, it would be better if he did not hear the case.”

The IHC order came after Imran Khan asked the Supreme Court to take suo motu notice of arrests of his party’s workers while speaking to the media outside Bani Gala.
