The Prohibition of Unlawful Assembly, better known as Section 144, announced its resignation from service on Saturday.

Speaking to reporters from the pages of the Criminal Procedure Code, the Section said that it was sick and tired of its selective employment.

“I really don’t know when I’m doing this thing right,” she said. “So first, I crack down on the PTI when they weren’t in an unlawful assembly, at least not yet. And then I let slide this assembly by a banned organisation like the ASWJ.”

“I hate being a tool for whatever government that wants to quash opposition.”

“It’s like rolling the dice every time I show up for work,” it continued. “I don’t want to deal with this crap anymore.”

“The guys at the Banking Regulations have it better. They know exactly what they have to do.”
