Islamabad gets ready for another extremely expensive wedding ceremony

Festivities have started in the federal capital for an upcoming wedding in Islamabad. This is to be the groom Imran Khan’s third marriage, the second of which in 2014 went down as the most expensive and extensive set of pre-wedding and wedding ceremonies in the nation’s history.

“The DJ’s already been hired but the dance practices are still in progress,” said Hira Moqarram, Insaf Youth Wing female general secretary. “We’ve prepared quite a few but they aren’t enough.”

Naak nahi katwani kam dance kar ke,” she said, while laughing. “Oh my God, I can hardly wait!”

“Yes, we are going to make it a show that no one is going to forget anytime soon,” said Fayyaz Hassan, another PTI stalwart. “The Ghulaam-jaamunsare going to outnumber the rubber bullets.”

“The exciting thing here is that we still don’t know who the lucky lady is going to be,” said Ali Usman, another Insaf Youth Wing member from Islamabad. “We still don’t know whom Kaptaan is going to call into his container and ask the name of her parents because he wants to do istikhara.”

“Whoever it is, I wish her the best of luck.I look forward to accompanying her wherever she goes and fighting with other Insafians over who gets to stand next to her,” he added. “I also look forward to spreading an online smear campaign against her six months later, after the divorce, using words for her I can’t repeat in front of the women of my own family.”
