Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto has said that his party would not accept scapegoats or artificial sacrifices in the form of sacking of Information Minister Pervaiz Rashid over security meeting’s leak.

The PPP leader made these remarks in response to a tweet by PAT leader Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri who questioned government’s intentions behind the removal of Pervaiz Rashid from the federal cabinet.

“A drama of removing Rana Sanaullah from his ministry was enacted in Model Town case and he was reinstated later,” Qadri tweeted.

Bilawal agreed with Allama Qadri’s views. “So true, we will not accept scapegoats or artificial sacrifices. We demand accountability,” Bilawal said.

Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif removed Information and Broadcasting Minister Pervaiz Rashid from his cabinet over October 6 security meeting’s leak to media.
