The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Friday barred police from illegal detention of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) workers.
PTI had challenged illegal arrests of its workers in IHC. The petition was filed by Muhammad Bilal and Nisar Azeem’s lawyer Niazullah Niazi.

The petition had adopted the stance that PTI’s youth convention in sector I-11 has constitutional safeguard, however; dozens of party workers have been shifted to an undisclosed location after detention.
The plea informed that PTI’s peaceful protest is scheduled on November 2.
It urged that according to the constitution, no one can be arrested without any charges and cause.
The plea also explained that despite political freedom PTI works are being arrested unconstitutionally.
Interior secretary, Inspector General Police, Chief Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner were made the party in the petition.
The opposition party planning a major anti-government protest was raided by police Thursday as authorities banned all public gatherings in Islamabad for two months.
Police raided a youth convention for opposition leader Imran Khan s party, charging activists with batons and arresting dozens of people.

PTI is due to lead the protest on November 2 to demand Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif step down over recent family financial revelations.
Sharif is under growing pressure from opposition parties over his children s offshore bank accounts that were revealed in the Panama Papers leak.
Khan later vowed there would be protests against the crackdown across the country on Friday and challenged the government to arrest him.
