Singing maestro Rahat Fateh Ali Khan will hold 48 concerts worldwide to pay tribute to his uncle Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan on his 20th death anniversary.

‘The Tribute Tour’ will begin from Faisalabad, which is the birthplace of the Qawwali king and will end in London, where he breathed his last at the age of 48 years.

The number of concerts is in unison with the years he lived.

“An academy by the name of Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan will be opened. New songs will be experimented that will be a mixture of my and Khan Sahab’s voice,” said Rahat during the press conference.

While talking about Indian extremists, he said that nothing is dearer to us than Pakistan.

“We stand with our country whenever its reputation is questioned. Pakistan’s honour is our honour,” he affirmed.

Film actor Shaan Shahid who was also present said that along with political leadership, the country also needs an artistic headship.

“People will come to know that not only rallies but musical concerts are also held in Pakistan,” said Shaan.

“What if cricket cannot return to Pakistan? We will blossom Sufism in our country,” the actor pronounced.

Rahat Fateh Ali Khan also sang a song of Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan at the end of the press conference.
