Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) challenged the eligibility of Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif in the Lahore High Court (LHC) on Wednesday
The General Secretary of PTI, Jehangir Tareen filed a petition in the LHC seeking the disqualification of PM Nawaz Sharif on the grounds that following the Panama papers leaks, PM Nawaz Sharif does not fulfil the conditions laid down in articles 62 and 63 of the constitution.
The petitioner further mentioned that PTI had earlier sent a reference to Speaker National Assembly Ayaz Sadiq seeking the disqualification of the PM but the petition was rejected demonstrating partiality.
