Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (TEVTA) will recruit 1000 teachers and other staff during the current year.
These new appointees are to work in training youth at recently established TEVTA Institutes under Annual Development Program (ADP), and prisoners housed in 15 jails across the province of the Punjab.
The TEVTA Chairperson, Irfan Qaiser Sheikh, said in a meeting attended by Chief Operating Officer Jawad Ahmed Qureshi, Akhtar Abbas Bharwana, Amir Aziz, Azhar Iqbal Shad, Rao Rashid, Maqsood Ahmed, Ayesha Qazi, Uzma Nadia and others, held at TEVTA Secretariat.
Irfan Qaiser Sheikh further said that recruitment procedure to appoint 1000 staff is continuing from the last two months. TEVTA has constituted recruitment committees which include the presidents of the District Boards of Management concerned, and expert subject specialists who will play theirs role in a neat and clean recruitment procedure.
He said that Chief Minister Punjab, Mian Shahbaz Sharif, has graciously allowed the recruitment of new staff in order to meet the shortage of faculty in these Institutes and prisoner rehabilitation centers.
The induction of new trainers and other staff will give a chance to dynamic and intelligent people, to serve in the technical and vocational education sector across the province of the Punjab, he concluded.
