PPDWP approves four development schemes

The Punjab Provincial Development Working Party (PPDWP) approved four development schemes for various sectors with an estimated total cost of Rs 4870.07 million.

The schemes were approved in the 24th meeting of Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) of the current fiscal year.

Secretary Planning and development (P&D), Iftikhar Ali Sahoo, all Board Members of P&D, Provincial Secretaries concerned, and other senior representatives of the relevant Provincial Departments also attended the meeting.

According to the spokesman for P&D, the approved development schemes included Construction of Surface Water Treatment Plant at Jhang Branch Canal, Faisalabad (PPP Mode) (PC-II) at the cost of Rs 18.000 million, Construction of Bridge over River Chenab at Shahbazpur to Connect District Gujrat with District Sialkot in District Gujrat at the cost of Rs 3926.760 million, rehabilitation of Sadhoke to Baigpur (L=23.00 km) Road, District Gujranwala at the cost of Rs 421.646 million and rehabilitation/widening of road from Buchal Kalan to Lillah (length 25.00 km – Phase-I, L=13 km) District Chakwal at the cost of Rs. 503.664 million.
