Responding to an emergency call by bystanders, Rescue 1122 officials attempted to save a Lahori man, Arshad Warraich, from the middle of a racist statement of his.

“By the time we received the call, he had already said, ‘I have nothing against Pashtuns, but..’ so we were running against time to prevent him from completely walling himself in,” said Capt Babar Rizvi of Rescue 1122.

“By the time we had reached there, he was hemming and hawing and not saying much because he had realised that the statement won’t go well with his audience, which happened to have three Pashtuns and seven individuals who were uncomfortable with sweeping generalisations.”

“At 17:40, however, he decided to go with it, resulting in the immediate appreciation by the office’s other racist members,” said Rizvi. “We couldn’t manage to save him, unfortunately, despite reaching in time.”

“Doctors say that he will spend the rest of his stint at the office by having to say, “Yaar, inn ko merey se masla kya hai?
