Three attacks as a consequence of Indian imperialistic designs
On 3 June 1984 Operation Blue Star was executed under the pretext that Jarnail was an outlaw and terrorist. In fact it was just the beginning of an organised mass murder of Sikhs
Indira Gandhi served as the prime minister of India for three terms and was the daughter of first Indian PM Jawaharlal Nehru. Indira like her father, using her manipulative and exploitative family-behaviour, lured Jarnail Singh Bhindrawala to campaign for her party in Punjab. The Sikhs held Singh in high regard and started to support Congress. With the extensive campaigning and with the help of Jarnail Singh and other Sikhs, Indira Gandhi was able to defeat Akali Dal and form a Congress-led government in Punjab.
With her government in Punjab, it was the time to eliminate the most loved Sikh saint Jarnail Singh Bhindrawala. On 3 June 1984 Operation Blue Star was executed under the pretext that Jarnail was an outlaw and terrorist. In fact it was just the beginning of an organised mass murder of Sikhs. If it was not a massacre, then, why was there a complete media blackout in Punjab? Why has a single independent inquiry never been conducted to find out whether Jarnail Singh was a saint or an outlaw? The following Operation Wood Rose was an extension to harass Sikh families across Punjab. As a consequence to the atrocities committed by PM Indira against Sikhs, she was assassinated by her own two Sikh guards on 31 October 1984; almost four months after the carnage.
Rajiv Gandhi, Indira’s son, continued on the path of her mother’s imperialistic designs that were exhibited in Sri Lanka by India. The Indian army committed the worst possible violence and brutality against the unarmed and innocent people of Sri Lanka under the disguise of Indian Peace Keeping Force (IPKF). Indians massacred almost twenty thousand Sri Lankan civilians and lost twelve hundred of their own. Rajiv was assassinated on 21 May 1991 by a Tamil girl known as “Dhanu” who was not even an adult.
On 18 September 2016 an Indian army Brigade Headquarters in Uri, Baramulla District, Kashmir was attacked in which more than nineteen Indian soldiers died. The four perpetrators were reported to be between the ages of 20 and 30. They were representatives of no one, but the oppressed and suppressed Muslims of Kashmir. They were left no choice but to act physically in an armed manner by the cruel so-called largest democracy in the world — India. Those young men did not act but reacted in response to Hindu-dominated policies of India.
It still is a huge debate as to why Indira Gandhi was assassinated by her two Sikh guards and why Rajiv Gandhi was assassinated in a suicide bomb attack by a Tamil girl? The answer to this question can be understood by the strategic culture of the Indian state. The brutal tactics of Indira while betraying Sikh leader Jarnail Singh and declaring him a terrorist and an outlaw, and the storming of the Golden Temple, were the primary sources of inspiration for her guards to shoot her down. Similarly, the violence committed by Rajiv in Sri Lanka against its people was answered by a suicide attack that claimed his life. It is a fact that Dhanu was among those girls who were repeatedly raped by the “gallant” Indian soldiers.
The assassinations of Indira and Rajiv Gandhi, and the Uri Attack, can all be understood using the Frustration Aggression Theory. This theory was presented in 1933 by some scholars of Yale University which argues that frustration among the people will result in unpredictable aggression and anger. In Indira’s case, Sikhs were frustrated due to the feelings of being deprived of their rights coupled with political and social oppression, Operation Blue Star and the subsequent massacre of Sikhs across India. Rajiv made a statement on the organised killings of Sikhs in Delhi and across India in November 1984 that “When a giant tree falls, the earth below shakes”. Rajiv’s statement was merely an encouragement for the rioters. The attack on Indian army camp in Uri is the direct result of Indian atrocities towards Kashmiri Muslims. The attempt just cannot be condemned since it was conducted by freedom fighters that are fighting for independence and freedom. No law in the world exists that prohibits freedom and the struggle for independence. The attempt made by Kashmiri Muslims on 18 September 2016 is very close to the attempt made by the Sons of Liberty on 16 December 1773; known as the Boston Tea Party. If fighting for independence is a crime then why does India celebrate Bhaggat Singh as a martyr and a hero of the independence movement against the British Empire?
India massacred thousands upon thousands of Sikhs since they were responsible for the demise of Indira Gandhi. The Tamil people are still paying the price for the assassination of Rajiv Gandhi
India massacred thousands upon thousands of Sikhs since they were responsible for the demise of Indira Gandhi. The Tamil people are still paying the price for the assassination of Rajiv Gandhi and now India wants to wage a war against Pakistan since oppressed Muslims of Kashmir took revenge from Indian army for its massacres across Kashmir. India claims to be a great power but has always been behaving like an amateur little child. The state of India is on a path of destruction that will not come from Pakistan, Tamil Nadu, Kashmir or China, but the right-wing Hindu organisations are enough to drown India and now Modi as its PM, the assumption is most likely to come true.
