Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chief Imran Khan on Thursday said that he is satisfied with today’s hearing held by Supreme Court over Panama Leaks issue.
While talking to media outside SC, Khan said, “Today is a big day in the history of Pakistan’s democracy as the court has summoned Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in disqualification case.”
He said that SC has played its role by assuring to give justice.
The National Accountability Bureau and Federal Bureau of Revenue are required to thoroughly investigate into the issue.
He further said that staging a peaceful protest is our constitutional right if justice is denied.
On the other hand, Supreme Court has issued notices to PM Nawaz, Hassan Nawaz and Hussain Nawaz in Panama Leaks case.
PTI, Jamaat-i-Islami (JI) and Pakistan Awami Muslim League in their petitions urged the apex court to set up a commission to investigate Panama Leaks issue and for the disqualification of the Prime Minister for concealing assets.
I sincerely hope for the sake of the country the SC will deliver a binding decision as soon as possible. The country cannot live in uncertainity for ever.
