Winter still far away from Punjab

Winter seems to be just round the corner as temperatures have started decreasing especially over the hills and winter is said to be a rain away there. However, it may take longer than usual before the presence is felt in Punjab.

Night temperatures are falling the in the plain areas of the country marking the end of summers. Maximum temperatures range from 35 to 38 °C.

According to the Met department, the lowest temperature recorded in Skardu was 1 °C. Whereas, in Kalat, the temperature was 2 °C, Hunza 6 °C, Chitral 8 °C, Dir 6 °C, Quetta 5 °C, Murree 12 °C, Lahore 18 °C, Peshawar and Islamabad 17 °C.

“Temperatures would further drop over the hills in the days to come,” the Met dept said.

However, it will remain dry in the entire country on Monday.
