The Supreme Court on Monday stopped Sindh Public Service Commission from further appointments due to the inefficient performance of the department.
Sindh Public Service Commission was directed to not appoint further officers until the final decision on suo moto notice.
During the hearing, Justice Khilji Arif Hussain expressed resentment and asked that is there any system in the country or not.
He said that a person lacking required eligibility was handed over the duties of chairman on which Additional Advocate General Sindh said that ending appointments would down the system.
Chief Justice of Pakistan Anwar Zaheer Jamali remarked that the department would not be allowed to continue recruitments till the satisfaction of the court.
Subsequently, the case was adjourned till November 3.
