Unidentified armed men on Monday opened fire at the house of Pak Sarzameen Party (PSP) leader Ashfaq Mangi in Gulistan-e-Jauhar area of Karachi.
According to details, the attackers fled away after the firing incident leaving the residents in the area fearful. Mangi remains unhurt in the firing incident.
Ashfaq Mangi is a central leader of PSP and former MPA of MQM. He left MQM and joined Mustafa Kamal-led PSP when Kamal announced the new party.
A spokesman for the PSP accused the MQM-Altaf workers of the attack.
Meanwhile, in another incident, two gang war groups clashed in Golimar Area. The gangsters of Majid Group and Bilal Group exchanged intense firing which rocked the area. As a result, two people were injured.
