West Indies’ cricket star Dwayne Bravo is all set to take his talents to the dance floor by joining an Indian celebrity dance competition Jhalak Dikhla Ja.

“I am very excited to be a part of this show and to do something different. I just want to have fun and enjoy,” Bravo, 33, told reporters ahead of his first performance in Jhalak Dikhla Ja, the Indian version of BBC‘s Strictly Come Dancing.

“These days, cricket and entertainment go together… Dancing is definitely harder than cricket,” said Bravo, who was a part of the West Indies squad that played against Pakistan in a Twenty20 series last month.

The all-rounder might as well take inspiration from former England bowler Darren Gough who won the third series of Strictly Come Dancing in 2005.

A report in Bollywood Life suggests that Bravo will be seen doing Salman Khan’s towel dance in the yet-to-be-aired episode. He danced on a medley of Salman’s hits and also claimed to be a huge fan of the three Khans, Shah Rukh, Aamir and Salman. However, he found the Sultan star the coolest of them all.

Bravo launched the track Champion in Mumbai in March during the World Twenty20 competition which his side went on to win after beating England.

The lyrics of the song mention various sporting heroes and political icons, with a special shout out to his big-hitting teammate Chris Gayle.

The accompanying music video featuring a shirtless Gayle went viral, having clocked 932,573 views on YouTube to date.
