Pakistan football team striker Shahlyla Ahmadzai Baloch passed away on late Wednesday night in a car accident in Karachi’s DHA area.
A family member confirmed the news saying, “It is true that she passed away.”
“She was travelling in the passenger seat, and the car slid,” the family member confirmed.
Baloch, 20, was one of the finest strikers for Pakistan women’s football team. She represented the country at the South Asian Football Federation Women Football Championship 2014 in Islamabad, which was the last international event that Pakistan women’s team competed in.
“She represented Pakistan and was a role model for many girls. Today Shahlyla Baloch died in a car accident. What a shocking news,” FootballPakistan.Com (FPDC) wrote on their Facebook page.
“All our condolences to her family,” it added.
Rest in peace sister…
