At least four rebel commanders alongside their accomplices laid down arms in the presence of Provincial Minister for Interior Mir Sarfaraz Bugti in Quetta.
According to details, the rebel commanders also included two commanders of the banned militant outfits i.e., Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) and Baloch Republican Army (BRA) who laid down arms along with their 27 accomplices.
Addressing on the occasion, the Provincial Minister for Interior Mir Sarfaraz Bugti told that there is no such thing as freedom fighting in Balochistan. He professed that those who are talking of freedom are actually fighting for their daily bread.
The provincial minister also expressed that India is using Balochistan issue to divert the world’s attention from Kashmir.
Provincial Health Minister Rehmat Saleh Baloch was also present on the occasion while FC Commandant Panjgur, Numan Siddiqui distributed rewards among the former Ferrari Commanders.
THREE SUSPECTS ARRESTED WITH ARMS: Sensitive Agencies and FC personnel conducted an operation in Brewery area of the provincial capital on Tuesday and arrested three suspected terrorists.
According to FC spokesman , the operation was launched on intelligence report that some suspects were hiding in the area. He said arms were also recovered from the suspects.
Although the spokesman did not give further details, but security is at its highest alert in Quetta which in the past had seen sectarian killings. The security is exceptionally high in the city to ensure smooth passage of Ashura Majalis and processions.
