Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs Tariq Fatemi said India’s belligerent policies have endangered interests of other countries in the region.

In an interview, he said India has a track record of sabotaging SAARC summit in all the regional countries, including Sri Lanka, Nepal, Maldives, which always proved a setback for the region.

Fatemi said the extremist approach has gained dominance in India since Prime Minister Narendra Modi came to power.

He said Indian claims of being a champion of democracy and human rights have been shattered by its forces’ brutalities in occupied Kashmir, which has also been noticed, as well as condemned, in various parts of the world.

To a question, the special assistant said Pakistan has taken its relationship with China to the new heights. The country’s improving ties with Russia and the Central Asian states are also not liked by some countries.

To a question, Fatemi said Pakistan has prepared a brief on confessions of arrested Indian agent Kulbhushan Yadav regarding India’s involvement in terrorist activities in Pakistan.

He said the brief has been shared with some countries, and it will be shared with others as well.
