The United States urged Pakistan and India to hold meaningful dialogue to try to address the issue of Kashmir to bring down the tension.
While briefing the newsmen in Washington US State Department Spokesperson John Kirby said, “United States position on Kashmir has not changed”
He said, “We are expecting for leaders in Pakistan and India to work out bilaterally on the issue.”
“Terrorism is the common challenge in the region, and we’re going to continue to work with Pakistan as cooperatively as we can eliminate this menace,” he added.
While responding to a question, he said we’re confident that Pakistan has the security controls they need to have in place in their arsenal.
