The Supreme Court (SC) on Friday ordered re-polling in Jhang’s PP-78 after disqualifying Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s (PML-N) Rashida Yaqoob.

The verdict reserved on March 4 was read by Justice Dost Muhammad over the four appeals of Rashida Yaqoob.

A plea was filed with the Election Tribunal against the PML-N candidate by Maulana Mohammad Ahmed Ludhianvi of the Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamaat.

Rashida Yaqoob was disqualified over concealing her assets.

She referred the SC in the matter however; all her appeals were dismissed by the court.

Rashida Yaqoob was elected as Member of Provincial Assembly (MPA) from PP-78.
