The United States State Department has said that Pakistan’s nuclear assets are in safe hands.

State Department Spokesman John Kirby, during a news briefing, said that Pakistan has taken effective steps to ensure the safety of its nuclear assets.

He said that the United States wants the end of hostilities between Pakistan and India.

The state department official said that the two nuclear power countries should resolve the Kashmir issue with negotiation.

Kirby added that terrorism is a big challenge and more steps should be taken against the safe havens of terrorists in the region.

“All countries have to work together in order to end terrorism,” Kirby said.
