Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations (UN) Maleeha Lodhi said Pakistan is ready to hold talks with India on all outstanding issues including Kashmir.

Maleeha Lodhi made the statement while addressing the General Assembly.

Pakistan’s envoy said that the Kashmir dispute should be resolved according to the aspirations of the people of Kashmir.

She said that implementation of the United Nations resolutions about the disputed territory is necessary.

“International community has to play its role to stop the atrocities perpetrated by Indian forces in the occupied Kashmir territory,” Lodhi said.

Lodhi said that Indian belligerence at the Line of Control (LoC) in Kashmir poses a serious threat to the regional peace and security.
