The inauguration of state of the art emergency at Punjab Institute of Cardiology (PIC) provides evidence that healthcare of masses is among the top priorities of the government. The move will help provide modern and effective emergency services and reduce health woes of the public at large. At present, the emergency comprises of 100 beds but as per the plan soon 100 more beds will be added to it. Whatever has been done is good but more needs to be done. It is hoped that the government would continue its efforts to improve health facilities in the province as nothing is more important than health of the people.
