Sedition case filed against Delhi CM, Congress leader for demanding ‘surgical strike’ proof

A case was filed in an Indian court with a prayer to prosecute Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Congress leaders P Chidambaram and Sanjay Nirupam under sedition law for their statements on the surgical strike in Pakistan by the Army.

One Jaganath Sah filed the case in the court of Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) Ramchandra Prasad against Kejriwal, Chidambaram and Sanjay Nirupam, The Economic Times reported.

The three leaders were alleged to have sought proof in support of the claim that the Indian Army had conducted the strikes across the LoC in PoK.

The court has fixed October 19 for hearing the matter.

The complainant is president of a newly floated party “Aap aur Hum”.
