Amid escalating tensions between India and Pakistan, Bollywood filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt appealed to Pakistan and India government to promote peace, not war.

Filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt took to twitter to convey an important message to the governments of both India and Pakistan.

He makes his stand clear by saying that the actions of a few violent men should not be allowed to dictate the future of all those people, who want peace.

“Kill terrorists, not talks,” his tweet reads.

“Dear leaders, do not let the actions of a few violent men write the future of many people, like me who want peace. #KillTerroristsNotTalks #ProfileForPeace.” he added.

Unlike Shah Rukh Khan, Akshay Kumar, Anupam Kher, Paresh Rawal and many other Bollywood actors, who were celebrating the fabricated claims of Indian army and government about alleged surgical strikes, Bhatt called upon Pakistan and India not to let actions of a few violent men write the future of many like him.

Salman Khan and legendary filmmaker Shyam Benegal have also spoken up against the ban on Pakistani artistes in India, following the Uri attack.
