PTI’s Raiwind march ready for showdown

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is all set to display street power today as they plan to march towards Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s residence at Raiwind.

Several thousand supporters of the party from different parts of the country reached Adda Plot on Raiwind Road on Thursday to participate in the “accountability movement” against PM Nawaz.

Imran Khan is already in an aggressive mood and has announced that he will send a strong message to PM Nawaz Sharif as well as Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in light of the ongoing tensions along the Line of Control.

“Today our party’s protest will give out two messages, one directed at Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and the other to his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi,” PTI chief Imran Khan said the other day.

Khan said he has exhausted all forums, including peaceful protests, and hinted that he may move his party to second stage of an “aggressive agitation” to compel the prime minister and his family to explain how they have set up offshore companies and stashed huge money and bought expensive flats abroad.
