A petition has been filed in Islamabad High Court (IHC) against National Assembly (MNA) member and Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PkMAP) Chief Mehmood Khan Achakzai for passing ‘controversial’ remarks about KP in which he stated that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa belonged to Afghans.
According to details, the petition was filed by a citizen named Waheed Ahmed Kamal, in which the prime minister, law and justice ministry, speakers of national and provincial assemblies, Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) and others were made a party in the filed petition.
In his submitted filed petition, the applicant Waheed Ahmed Kamal took a stance that Achakzai stirred up a controversy by saying that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa belonged to Afghans and they can live there without fear and irritation.
He said that Achakzai should not give such a controversial statement being a member of Parliament. He requested to check speeches made by Mehmood Khan Achakzai, adding that no one took notice of Achakzai’s speech.
