Pakistan Army ready to give befitting response to Indian aggression: Defence Minister

Defence Minister Khawaja Asif Thursday (today) strongly condemned the “unprovoked and naked aggression” of Indian forces resulting in the martyrdom of two Pakistani soldiers along the Line of Control.

Khawaja Asif said the firing by Indian army across LoC was deliberate and had been planned beforehand.

He said the Indian forces fired with small weapons, adding that the firing was carried out in three sectors of the LoC including Bhimber.

The Defence Minister said the Pakistan Army gave a befitting response to the Indian firing.

According to reports, Khawaja Asif is currently giving the briefing to the PM Nawaz about the current situation at the LoC.

The unprovoked firing came amid mounting tensions between the two nuclear-armed adversaries over occupied Kashmir.

The firing at the LoC in Kel and Lipa sectors began at 2:30 AM and continued till 8:00 AM, ISPR said in a statement.

  1. The whole nation is ready. Even the Pakistani soldier who held the rank of Havaldar in the 1965 war and lost his one leg then is ready to respond.
