Curfew was imposed Wednesday (today) in Koimoh town of south Kashmir’s Kulgam district in view of the separatists call for a march, while restrictions on the assembly of people continued in the rest of the Valley.
The curfew was imposed by the Indian government to stop the procession of the announced march.
A police official said the curbs in the town were imposed as a precautionary measure to maintain law and order in the wake of the separatist’s call for a march to the area.
The official said while there was no curfew in any other areas in Kashmir, restrictions on the assembly of people under section 144 CrPc were in place in the rest of the Valley.
Schools, businesses, means of public transport and shops remain closed for the 82nd consecutive day. Curfew was imposed to suppress the voices of Kashmiris under section 144. Assembly of people is prohibited.
Shops, petrol pumps and other business establishments remained closed. Schools, colleges and other educational institutions also remained closed across the Valley.

Leaders of the liberation movement had called a march which is being dealt with by force by the vile Indian government.
A Kashmiri student named Mudassir was also arrested in Rajasthan for voicing his opinion on the savagery of the Indian army.
Another Kashmiri student of Ganga Institute of Technology and Management, Haryana was beaten by Hindu extremists and college’s security guards.
As many as 88 persons have been killed and thousands of others injured in the ongoing unrest that started after Burhan Wani was killed in an encounter with government forces in south Kashmir on July 8.
