The Supreme Court Tuesday (today) has admitted petitions filed by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Jamat-e-Islami (JI) and Watan Party to investigate Panama Leaks.
SC has removed objections of registrar over the pleas of PTI and JI regarding Panama leaks issue.
Chief Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali heard the case in his chamber at SC in which he said that the decision of declaring the pleas admissible will be taken in open court.
He also ended all the objections of a registrar and directed the authorities to precede the case.
The CJ directed the court office to fix the case for hearing in open court to be heard by a three-member bench.
The registrar office of the apex had returned the petitions for not being maintainable. It ruled that the petitioners had not approached the proper forum with the further objection that the petitions prima facie appear to be ‘frivolous’ within the contemplation of Order XV11, Rule 5 of the Supreme Court Rules 1980.
