Imran Khan takes a hit at PM for ‘holidaying’ in London despite country at risk of war

Imran Khan has targetted Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s stay in London despite the prevalent insurgency across the border.

In a recent tweet he said, “While tensions rising on the eastern border & along LoC, PM holidaying and shopping in London.”

PM Nawaz had left for the United States on September 18, 2016, to attend 71st UNGA and raise the Kashmir issue as an attempt to internationalise the dispute. He delivered a hard-hitting speech in which, along with reassuring India about Pakistan’s stance of being at peace with its neighbours, Sharif rejected the idea of the Kashmir dispute being a bilateral issue. He reminded the United Nations to hold the plebiscite as per the recommendations of Security Council Resolution 47.

Sheikh Rashid rings Imran and discusses the participation of different political and religious parties in the Raiwind march.

“People’s participation in response to the issue of Panama Leaks being raised in Raiwind march will be overwhelming,” says Imran. He also showed determination to not abandoning the issue up till its conclusion.

“The opposition stands united for the accountability of the government,” says Sheikh Rashid. “All the efforts of the government to rebuff and disregard will go futile.”
