Pakistan has offered to cooperate with India for an international and impartial investigation into the Uri military base attack.
While talking to BBC Urdu, Adviser to the Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz said it has become India’s habit to blame Pakistan after every attack without even providing any evidence, so it has become imperative that an international inquiry is conducted over Uri attack.
Infiltration in occupied Kashmir is impossible due to huge Indian military presence in the region, he added.
India had blamed Pakistan for Pathankot and Mumbai attacks but failed to provide any concrete evidence, the adviser said.
“Kashmiris are fighting for their rights in the disputed region and the attack on Indian army base has not benefitted them, in fact, it helped diverted global attention from Indian atrocities,” he said.
This is not the first time that India has done this; during President Clinton’s visit to South Asia, an incident had taken place and India had accused Pakistan of it too, however, later it was revealed that it was an inside job, Sartaj Aziz said.
