The police seized 1400 kilogram contaminated meat and arrested three culprits on Saturday.
Reacting to repeated public complaints, heavy contingent of police raided the meat market in tehsil Phalia of district Mandi Bahauddin.
During operation 1400 kilogram (35 maund) of contaminated meat was seized and three accused involved in illegal business were arrested.
Police said that the recovered meat was to be supplied to hotels in the federal capital Islamabad and Rawalpindi.
The police disposed off the recovered contaminated meat and after registering a case against the nabbed culprits started the investigation.
