The Islamabad Police arrested 16 outlaws from various areas of the city and recovered hashish, weapons and stolen property from their possession, a police spokesman said.
According to details, Bhara Kahu police arrested two accused, identified as Abdul Aziz and Sheryaar Khan, and recovered 250 gram hashish from their possession. The police team also arrested accused Bashrat and recovered stolen property from him.
Ramana police arrested an accused Afghan national Sanober. Shams Colony police arrested a thief and recovered stolen property from him. Sabzi Mandi police recovered stolen property from the arrested accuse Moman Khan. Tarnol police recovered one 30 bore pistol from arrested accused Abdul Rasheed.
Cases have been registered against the nabbed persons and further investigation is underway from them. Furthermore, police also arrested 9 professional alm seekers.
Islamabad SSP Sajid Kiani had directed to make this crackdown effective and curb this menace.
