The captain of Pakistan Women’s National Team, Sana Mir, has blasted media on Friday for allegedly following an agenda that adds to questions over the performance of the squad.

While talking to the media, Mir raised her concerns over truthfulness and objectivity of media in reports over national team’s performance.

The skipper denounced comparison of the team with that of England stating that ‘Pakistan was quite far behind in competition in cricket with English women’s team.’

Mir’s statement came as a response to questionable performance of the team against England in the last series that occurred in June. Pakistan was clean-swept in the One-Day International series by the English women.

The captain managed to put together a paltry 58 total in three matches with an average of 19 runs per match.

Mir said that she does not plan on retiring from the field anytime soon.

  1. why doesn't anybody write about the corruption in the PCB and the paltry facilities and support they provide the women cricketers? and the way they try to sabotage them? the fact that we have a team that represents us internationally is a miracle and no thanks to the PCB or the media or anyone but Allah and our athletes
