Parliamentary Affairs Minister Sheikh Aftab Ahmed has directed to accelerate the public welfare projects which come under the PM Sustainable Development Programme.
Sheikh Aftab on Thursday chaired a high-level meeting with the Sindh Chief Secretary (CS) at CS’s office Karachi. The meeting was attended by the commissioners, additional commissioners and senior officials of all provincial departments and board of revenue.
During the meeting, the minister was briefed about the status of the pending cases which were referred by the PM Grievances Cell to various departments to address the individual complaints.
Sheikh Aftab directed the officials of departments to make sure that at least one hour is reserved for the general public to address their grievances.
The meeting decided that the public, police coordination and liaison will be ensured at tehsil and sub-tehsil levels.
The minister also directed the health departments to focus on the rural areas. It was also decided that the provincial health departments and Pakistan Baitul Mal will coordinate for the treatment of the patients costing less than 0.6 million.
