After Udaari, Urwa tells women to talk about issues that aren’t highlighted in society

Udaari has proved to be one of the most popular TV ever since its pilot episode. Not only that, it has received critical acclaim for its compelling premise.

While talking to local media, Urwa Hocane discussed the importance of the drama and social taboos like child abuse and rape.

“It’s about time for women to talk about this. I think Udaari has brought a change. The people who wanted to ban it couldn’t because of the people who wanted the drama to bring about a change. Girls don’t speak about such things. I am probably destined to change that mindset.”

She also talked about the current mindset of people in the society with respect to being called a miraasi to which she replied, “I want to change the mindset of people. Bushra jee told me that the word miraasi comes from miraas. You should be proud of it rather than feel horrible about it.”

Moving on from Udaari, Urwa was asked about getting married to Farhan, “This is the most cliched questioned asks and is worried about it except me and Farhan. We are both busy doing some great work for you guys. Let us get done with all of that and we will talk about it.”

She shared how Mawra and her can sit over endless cups of chai for hours and talk about literally everything.  “I cannot operate without Mawra,” the actor said.

She also gave out a message for her fans saying, “A special message would be for the girls, I want girls to follow their dreams. Don’t judge people. Rather, you should put the spotlight on yourself to become a better person and you’ll see how far that takes you.”
