Pakistan’s veteran batsman Younis Khan has been was shifted to a local hospital in Karachi due to dehydration and high temperature. He showed a low count of white blood cells, thus, doctors have advised him one week rest.

Younis, who debuted in the year 2000 under the captaincy of Saeed Anwar against Sri Lanka in Rawalpindi, has been a mainstay in Pakistan’s middle-order for over a decade.

He will also be part of Test squad against West Indies in Dubai.

According to schedule, Pakistan will play three: Twenty20s, one-day internationals and Tests against, respectively West Indies in UAE.

The first of those Tests, at the Dubai Cricket Stadium on 13th-17th October, will be played under lights using a pink ball, first time for both parties.

To prepare for conditions under the lights with the pink ball, West Indies will play a three-day warm-up game against a PCB Patrons XI at Sharjah, the week prior to the day-night Test.
