Pak-Belarus friendly ties – should be appreciated

It is good to note that Pakistan has quite friendly and cordial relations with a number of countries in the region and is always looking forward to exploring opportunities to further strengthen and promote these ties in the mutual interests. Belarus is better known for manufacturing of tractors – a large number of which are in operation in the fields throughout the country for quite some time.

Pakistan’s good friendly relations with Belarus were duly highlighted when Belarus Ambassador Andrei Ermolovich called on Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif the other day and exchanged views with him on matters of mutual interest, bilateral relations and promotion of cooperation in different sectors.

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has been visiting Belarus and other republics which were formerly a part of the since defunct Soviet Union and the Punjab CM’s visit to Belarus in the near future will certainly help a great deal in promoting trade and economic relations and further strengthening the existing friendly relations between Pakistan and Belarus. Not only this, Belarus investors will hopefully be visiting Punjab soon to explore possibilities of investment in agriculture, livestock, industry and other sectors and this will further accelerate the pace of development and progress in the province under inspiring leadership of Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif who has lately gained reputation in China, Turkey and other friendly countries as the man of action and speed.
