Violence in Kashmir continues as death toll rises to 104 in 71 days

Violence in Indian Held Kashmir (IHK) continues as the atrocities of Indian forces claims the life of another civilian increasing the death toll to 104.in 71 days.

The recent person falling victim to violence was a student of class 9 who was killed after being shot in the head with pellets.

According to the Kashmir Media Service, a strike in the valley is being observed till September 22.

PM to highlight violations at UNGA

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will highlight the human rights violations in Occupied Kashmir at the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).

The PM will call upon the international community and the UN to live up to their promise of the right to self-determination of the people of IHK in accordance with the relevant UN Security Council resolutions, the Foreign Office said.

Premier Sharif, who would lead Pakistan delegation to the 71st session of the UNGA in New York from September 19, would speak on Pakistan’s position, role and contribution on key international issues ranging from peace and security to development, and highlight the vision and priorities of his government.

Pak-India should resolve issues through talks: US

US State Department spokesman, John Kirby said Pakistan and India should mutually solve the Kashmir issue.

Kirby spoke on the issue of Indian atrocities being committed in Kashmir and called on both India and Pakistan to work together to resolve the issue amicably.

“Our stance regarding the issue of Kashmir has not changed,” said Kirby. “Both India and Pakistan should talk to each other regarding Kashmir,” he added.
