The teachers deployed to perform examination duty during class 5th and middle standard examinations voiced protest over non-payment of compensation since seven months.
The annual examination of class 5th and middle standard took place in February this year under Punjab Examination Commission (PEC) but the teachers who had performed their duties during these examinations have not been paid compensation so far.
The teachers associations demanded of the government to ensure payment of the compensation immediately, alleging that the compensation is held by clusters centres and is not being paid to the teachers.
If the compensation is not paid this month then the teachers will be forced to state protest, they warned.
