New judicial year’s opening ceremony of the Supreme Court (SC) will be held on Monday with the end of summer vacations.
According to the scheduled programme, Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali, attorney general for Pakistan, Pakistan Bar Council vice chairman and Supreme Court Bar Association president will speak on the occasion.
Judges of the Supreme Court, law officers of the federation and provinces and a large number of lawyers will attend the ceremony.
This ceremony is held annually on the opening of new judicial year of the SC.
The objective of the ceremony is to make a determination for meeting the challenges faced by the SC and exchanging views for planning it, improvement of the judiciary’s image, better service for petitioners and increasing expectations of the civil society.
