Thieves strike two houses in Rawalpindi

Thieves struck at two houses and made off with valuables worth millions within the Civil Lines and Morgah Police jurisdictions.

Raza Abid, a resident of Civil Lines, lodged a complaint with the local police that thieves made their way into his house and made off with Rs 0.146 million in cash, $5,000, 3000 Dirhams, 480 pounds, gold ornaments and a cell phone.

Iftikhar Hussain, a government employee, lodged a complaint with the local police that thieves broke into his house and made off with gold ornaments, cosmetics, LED TV, 6,000 Saudi Riyal, and other valuables worth over Rs 0.1 million.

The police have registered cases and started investigation.
