Intermediate results: Private colleges bag top three positions

All the top three positions of Intermediate (Annual) Examination 2016 have been clinched by the private colleges as no public sector college could manage to grab the top positions in the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Examination (BISE) Lahore. The names of position holders were announced by BISE Chairman Prof Chaudhry Muhammad Ismail, Secretary Rehana Ilyas and Controller Prof Muhammad Nasir Jamil on Friday at the board office.

Speaking on the occasion, Prof Ch Muhammad Ismail said the result of intermediate students was compiled carefully as this exam plays an important role in the career of students. “The results of students were counter-checked for ten times in order to ensure transparency and accuracy,” he said. Ismail told all the staff of controller, secretary and secrecy branch worked tirelessly to compile the result of intermediate examination 2016.

As per details, Ubaidullah Muhammad Naeem of Punjab College of Science, clinched overall first position by securing 1054 marks out of 1100. Usman Khalid from Pak Turk International Higher Secondary School got second position by securing 1052 marks. The third position was shared by three candidates as three of them got 1045 marks each. Ahmad Zia from KIPS College and Sibghatallah Anwar and Muhammad Umar from Punjab College shared third position.

In the pre-engineering group (boys), Ubaidullah Muhammad Naeem, Usman Khalid and Ahmad Zia got first, second and third position respectively. In the pre-engineering group (girls), Sibghatallah Anwar, Minahil Raza and Michelle Akaishi stood first, second and third by securing 1045, 1041 and 1039 marks respectively.

In the pre-medical group (boys), Muhammad Umar Hassan and Tajamal Hayat from Punjab College of Science and Government College University (GCU) Lahore stood first and second by securing 1045 and 1042 marks respectively. Third position was shared by Hafiz Sohail Ashraf and Touseef ur Rehman from GCU Lahore and Pak Turk International Higher Secondary School as they got 1041 marks each.

In the pre-medical group (girls), Ruhma Malik and Dania Jamil from KIPS Intermediate Girls College Johar Town bagged first and second position by securing 1043 and 1042 marks respectively. Third position in the pre-medical (girls) was shared by three candidates as they all secured 1041 marks. Maleeha Zubair, Dur-e-Najaf and Ain-ul-Haq from KIPS College and Punjab College bagged third position.

In the general science group (boys), Hamzah Baig, Hafiz Muhammad Ahmad and Muhammad Zaid from GCU Lahore and Punjab College got first, second and third position as they secured 1022, 1020 and 1017 marks.

In the general science group (female), Khadija Kamran, Amna Iqbal and Sameen Mehtab from Kinnaird College and Punjab College stood first, second and third as they got 1022, 1015 and 1014 marks respectively.

A ceremony in the honor of position holders will be held on today (Saturday) at Alhamra Hall.

  1. Its been pretty better news for the concerning authorities and they in this regard must need to observe every possible stance and probability which is either considered and said to be of utmost importance.
