The dead body of a shopkeeper was found within the Chauntra police jurisdiction.
A passerby spotted a body in fields in Chauntra and informed the police. The police rushed to the scene and shifted the body to District Headquarters Hospital for post mortem.
The deceased was identified as Abdul Rasheed, a shop keeper. Police said that the shopkeeper was killed by stabbing with knives.
The reasons behind the killing could not be ascertained immediately.
