Over 1,000 daily-wage teachers of Islamabad Model colleges under Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) voiced protest over non-disbursement of salaries for three months.
The last salary was paid in May and not a single penny has been disbursed among them against the outstanding salaries of remaining three months.
These teachers are paid salary amounting to Rs 14,000 per month and deduction is also made from this meagre salary.
The teachers and families have demanded of the government to ensure the payment of outstanding salaries to them forthwith to save them from starving.
