The workers of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) gathered outside the residence of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in Jati Umrah, Raiwind and protested against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) announcement of the Raiwind march.
The workers vowed to protect the prime minister’s house against any advances by PTI chief Imran Khan and said they would never allow Imran Khan to march on the premier’s residence.
Donning head bands, the workers said they would stand guard outside the prime minister’s residence along with their children.
Female PML-N workers who joined in the protest chanted slogans in favour of PM Sharif and Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif and said Imran’s announcement is mere bluff.
“Even if Imran dared to march on the prime minister’s residence then they would be ready to protect their leader,” they added.
Imran on Tuesday had announced a march to Raiwind against the government on September 24.
