The Lahore High Court on Thursday accepted for hearing a petition filed by a lawyer to prevent a Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf sit-in scheduled for September 24 in Raiwind area, and issued notices to Imran Khan and the federal government for September 15.
The petitioner, advocate Farooq Sattar, requested the court to prevent the PTI from marching on Raiwind, submitting that Khan was delivering hate speeches against the ruling party due to which chaos was likely to spread across the country.
Besides, he went on to argue, Khan’s sit-in in Raiwind was likely to start clashes between the PTI and PML-N.
The court meanwhile issued notices to Imran Khan and the federal government for September 15.
